Growing Our Roots

Surfer Shot has added so much over the year with a Surf News section, Classifieds and m-a-n-y surfcams to name a few. We now want to get back to the websites roots... Your Surf Photos and Videos!
We have added your surf photos to the Surfcam sections by way of location. This way when someone is viewing one of the Trestles Surfcams they will also see your surf photos that were taken at or near that location.
All you need to do is upload your surf pics via the Photo Uploader, then be sure to "tag" your photo/s with its location. Example; "trestles". This will put your photo at the top left on the Trestles surfcam page as they're in order of the upload date.
The more "tags" you type in the more your photo will be searched and viewed. Your "Title" and "Description" will also help with search queries.
Surf PhotosYou and anybody else can Facebook "Like" or Tweet your photo for even more views. Other share options are also available.
In the coming month we will also be putting your surf photos by location to the Surf Report / Forecast pages. For those of you overseas from the US we will be coming up with more ways to view your surfer shots too.
After this completion the next phase will be the same as above except with your surf videos and we'll be sure to keep you posted about it.

So if you haven't been to one of the surfcam pages lately go ahead and check out the new surf photo widget for its location.
Btw - You can grab the surf photo widget embed code and paste it to your Facebook, blog or website.
